From the Clinic:  Flu and cold season is here.  Sometimes it can be hard to tell the difference.  It is most likely the flu if the illness came on suddenly, your child has a high fever and low energy, loss of appetite, with achy muscles and chills.  Any illness like a cold can turn into the flu, strep throat, or pnuemonia.  Make sure to seek medical treatment if you suspect the flu or if symptoms worsen, there is trouble breathing, high fever, sore throat, or if your child seems confused.
